Who’s with us? Liberty marks June 30 as decision day for interested partners.

Thursday, June 15 (Lincoln, NE) – With plans to operate in seven states by the end of 2017, Liberty Mobility Now (Liberty) is accepting applications for new launch sites in the US and beyond. Liberty is breaking through transportation barriers that have plagued rural communities for decades in a matter of weeks with its innovative Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) model. The company is requesting proposals by June 30th from any organization interested in bringing Liberty’s ridesharing service to its area before 2019.

Liberty is currently operating in Ohio, Nebraska, and South Dakota, and will launch in Colorado, Missouri, Texas and Virginia before the end of the year. The company’s unique focus on transportation in rural and small urban areas has garnered attention from NPR, The Atlantic, and The Christian Science Monitor. With dozens of requests for service from around the world each week, Liberty has developed a strategy for aggressive growth that will allow communities and organizations everywhere an opportunity to work with Liberty in providing transportation solutions in underserved areas.

“We are searching for organizations with innovative, passionate leaders to join us in improving rural and small urban mobility around the world,” Valerie Lefler, CEO and President of Liberty, said. “The challenges we solve in Ohio working with at-risk mothers recovering from opioid addiction, we can use lessons learned in Ireland, and what we learn in Wales about reducing depression rates for seniors living in isolation, we can apply in Minnesota. However, we cannot achieve these gains by bringing on one community at a time in random order. We have to have the ability to plan, to make introductions at the right time, and to share the beautiful, heartfelt success stories amongst our partners as well as the world. Doing that well, with intention, requires knowing who is with us and what resources we need months in advance.”

As a part of the process, Liberty will work with applicants to identify goals, conduct research on community, social, demographic, and population health indicators, provide analysis of transportation demand, and coordinate a detailed launch plan for each region. Applying by June 30th ensures applicants the opportunity to receive Liberty’s services before the end of 2018. Those interested can apply at libertymobilitynow.com/new- community-application.

Liberty’s Mobility as a Service multimodal approach to transportation solutions includes a ride-hailing app for smartphone users, a 24/7 call center, and an enterprise portal for clients who need to book a high number of rides for patients or employees. Liberty also seeks to partner with existing public and private transit options to get people where they need to go.

“Liberty’s company culture is built upon empathy, respect, and innovation,” Lefler said. “Growing up, I saw my grandfather selflessly give whenever he saw the opportunity, even when he didn’t have much himself. He was the man who would give a complete stranger the shirt off of his back if they needed it. That intense level of empathy, willingness to serve, and desire to make a difference is what we look for in every single one of our team members. I’m beyond proud of the amazing women and men that make up our team today – but if we’re going to recruit 50 more team members before the end of the year, we have to be crystal clear about what talent we need and when. With organizations stepping forward and raising their hand over the next two weeks, we will be able to carry out our mission of connecting communities in the most effective and efficient way possible.”
