Liberty Mobility Now and UnitedHealthcare Establish New Network Relationship

RICHMOND, Va. (September 25, 2017) – Liberty Mobility Now (Liberty) and UnitedHealthcare have established a new network relationship, giving Virginians enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicaid plans access to Liberty’s Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) services.

This new relationship gives UnitedHealthcare Medicaid beneficiaries in the Central, Southwest and Roanoke/Alleghany regions of Virginia access to Liberty’s transport services, which provide safe, reliable rides for people who live in rural and small urban communities. Liberty’s NEMT services are a part of UnitedHealthcare’s Virginia Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus (CCC Plus) program, helping beneficiaries get to and from medical appointments or services. Liberty’s partnerships with nonprofits, volunteers, public transit organizations and private transportation providers enhance access to care for UnitedHealthcare CCC Plus beneficiaries.

“Liberty Mobility Now is an important community partner and offers people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicaid plans who live in remote areas convenient transportation to the quality care they need and deserve,” said Charles Wayland, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Virginia.

“Liberty’s commitment to population health and innovation is foundational to our mission.  UnitedHealthcare shares those values and we are honored to serve their members in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” said Valerie Lefler, president & CEO of Liberty Mobility Now.
