Get to know the Panhandle’s Area Manager
Jann joined Liberty with a career background that includes grant management, disaster relief, safety training, healthcare and education. She has 17 years of management experience, as she created and fostered partnerships throughout western Nebraska. Jann pursued her graduate studies at Chadron State, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Kearney State in Mathematics.
We spoke with Jann to get some insight into who she is and why she decided to join the Liberty team:
1. Where is your Hometown?
Broken Bow, Nebraska
2. How long have you lived in your region?
I have lived in Scottsbluff since May of 1993
3. Why did you want to be the Area Manager for your region: (aka why did you pick this position for your next career)
I was so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of bringing a new (tremendously needed!) service to the Nebraska Panhandle region, as well as having a role in launching a new business across the nation!
4. If you could be a superhero, which one would you be and why?
Jann of the Jungle of course! (look her up she’s real!)
WHY? I think life is a combination of the jungle, a circus, and an adventure! Like Jann of the Jungle, I will jump right in – hey, the saying may be “not my circus, not my monkeys”…Jann of the Jungle says “Bring ‘Em On!”
5. What is one fact that few people know about you?
I am of the Scottish Clan Murray!
6. What is your favorite success story/outcome in your region so far?
Since the day I started I have had a smile on my face – I have heard story after story of how the people in our region have been “going the extra mile” – the “above and beyond” to help folks that have transportation needs. From a hotel owner telling me he tells patrons to just “take his car” when they have to run to the store, to bartenders telling me they will take their own car and pair up so one bartender can take someone home and the other will follow with the car to drive them both back, to pharmacy store managers that have dropped off items to elderly on their way home. These are the people of our rural communities, and these are the people I’m proud to work alongside to solve our mobility needs!
7. What do you see is the biggest need for increasing mobility in your region?
Our biggest need, by far, is the ability to transport with ADA compliant vehicles.
8. What is your best knock-knock joke?
No one Who?
