Bobbi Pettit

Get to know your Central Nebraska Area Manager

Bobbi served in the Nebraska Army National Guard; first, as a wheeled vehicle mechanic and eventually as a logistician and Platoon Leader.  She has held positions that include: Staff member for Former Congressman Tom Osborne, Deputy Master Planner for the NE Army National Guard, Assistant Development Services Director for the City of Kearney, Community Planner for the South Central Economic Development District, and Business Development Director for Greater Nebraska with the Nebraska Enterprise Fund. Bobbi received her BS in Political Science and in Economics from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She also has a Master of Arts in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

1. Where is your Hometown?

 Merna, NE. Population 365.

2. How long have you lived in your region?

 8 years.

3. Why did you want to be the Area Manager for your region?

 I just knew that Liberty was going places and I wanted to come with!

4. If you could be a superhero, which one would you be and why?

The mom character on the Incredibles. She can get herself and her kids changed quickly.

5.What is one fact that few people know about you?

I have been an Army Officer, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Dance Mom (point is, I have worn a lot of hats).

6. What is your favorite success story/outcome in your region so far? 

The fact that Liberty chose to launch in Central Nebraska.

7. What do you see is the biggest need for increasing mobility in your region? 

Central Nebraska, especially the Tri-City Region is growing fast.  Our ability to keep up with the growth by providing affordable necessities such as transportation will determine whether our growth will be sustainable.

8. What is your best knock-knock joke? 

Knock, knock…..Who’s there?…..Hawaii……Hawaii who?”
